Traveling to Fes : The foundouk Tsétaouine

The fondouk Tsétaounine was, as its name suggests, a hostel initially planned to accommodate traders from Tetouan. This caravanserai offers a fine show to anyone who crosses its solid door. Indeed, every element of this building is elaborately worked, the knocker of the door finely carved with wrought iron railings through the beautiful period mérénide ceiling of the hall. Like any fondouk that of Tsétaounine has two levels: the ground floor, consisting of parts that were used to store goods, and the floors that were used as rooms for traveling merchants.
