Traveling to Fez : The Zaouia of Moulay Idriss

Located in Fes, Zaouia Moulay Idriss is one of the oldest monuments of the city. Built in the fourteenth century, it houses a shrine dedicated to Moulay Idriss II, considered the founder of Fez. This building, whose lower portion of wall is elaborately decorated with various and varied reasons, has been restored many times until the eighteenth century. Access to the tomb of Moulay Idriss II is forbidden to non-Muslims, however it is possible to see through a door provided for this purpose.
